Who am I?
Blog – 1
That’s a big question to answer. Right? Before I get lost in figuring out who am I, let me welcome you to my world. Welcome to My World of Words. It’s a pleasure that you took some time out to know me and read through my world. I am a girl from India, who moved to a foreign land, leaving behind her home and family to pursue higher education. I am a third-year bachelors’ student, studying Communication and Media at University of Leeds. I moved to UK in 2019 to pursue my bachelors’ degree to pursue a career in the media industry. My university life has been unexpectedly interesting and happening. 8 months into my university life, covid pandemic broke out and rest is history. Online lectures, remote studying, disrupted activities, cribbing about not going to campus, frustrating about online exams, wi-fi issues during online classes has been my university life. Not to forget innumerable travel restrictions from India to UK, infinite quarantine days and covid tests adds to the whole experience. Never thought university life could turn out this way!
Apart from all of this frustration, I have learned valuable lessons. These three years made me realize how much important it is to be thankful for small things which we take for granted. During the tough times, getting to sit with family, sharing moments of laughter was priceless. Not to deny, with all such happy moments to be thankful for, some days were difficult. Attending online lectures, coping with university assignments amidst all that going around wasn’t easy. Some days were filled with anxiety, negative thoughts, and lot of stress.
Hi, thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy reading the little sneak peek into my world. Do share your thoughts about the blog.
LET THE POSTS
COME TO YOU
This blog will be my place where I will put my heart out, share my experiences, my feelings, my journey, and my world. I want to pour my heart with every blog I write. We all go through life differently, our experience, our struggles, everything is different. I want to share my experience, my journey, and my struggles for they might become motivation for one, and a lesson for another. Bonus, it would make me feel better. Keeping everything to myself often feels heavy, by writing, I would want to get off that extra baggage.
Today, as I pen this one, these three years played a major role in this endeavour. As I sit back and reflect how much I grew in these years, I have less complaints and more gratitude towards all the experiences which made me the way I am. Typing my first blog makes my heart jump in joy. A couple of months back someone motivated me to start this and bring my thoughts out. I owe this blog to her.
Let’s wait to see what comes next!
